Dr. Mike Emlet is a BCC Council Member and faculty member at CCEF (Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation). He holds an MD from the University of Pennsylvania and an MDiv from Westminster Theological Seminary. He worked as a family physician for over ten years before joining CCEF. Mike has counseled for many years and is the author of CrossTalk: Where Life and Scripture Meet, which explores the use of Scripture in counseling, Descriptions and Prescriptions: A Biblical Perspective on Psychiatric Diagnoses and Medications, and most recently Saints, Sufferers, and Sinners: Loving Others as God Loves Us. Mike is married to Jody, and they have two children. He is active in his urban church and enjoys gardening, camping, and creating wheel-thrown pottery. Mike joins us for this episode of 15:14 to tell us more about his upbringing, how he came to faith, his journey into biblical counseling, and lessons learned from his counseling experience.

Adrian Martinez has served in pastoral ministry since 1998 and has been active in biblical counseling since 2003. Adrian has a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling, a Doctor of Ministry (ABD) from The Master's University, and is a certified counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. He is also the Oceania Coordinator for Overseas Instruction in Counseling. Adrian and his wife Jen have five children. Adrian is a member of the Biblical Counseling Coalition Council, and he joins us on the 15:14 podcast to share about his role with Biblical Counseling Australia (BCA). He is currently working for BCA to run Local Church Training and deliver Soul Care Certificate courses.

Jason’s wife, Shawnda, also works with Gospel Care Collective. They have been married for 18 years and have five children. Upon his retirement as a Navy Chaplain, Dave joined the staff of Coastal Church in Yorktown, Virginia, as the Pastor of Biblical Counseling. He also serves as a Team Counselor for Low Country Biblical Counseling. During his time as a Chaplain, he saw the importance of a collaborative community for those who are called into a counseling ministry and developed a passion for developing such a community within biblical counseling. Dave is a member of ABC, IABC, and the BCA, and is currently pursuing certification with ACBC and a PhD in Biblical Counseling from Regent University.
