Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs help veterans, active duty service members and first responders who are struggling with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS). The program helps men and women overcome this battle through hope and help found in God’s Word.

Don Roy is a retired Navy Captain and biblical counselor who helps coordinate the ministry of Fallen Soldiers March. He joins us today to discuss their focus on connecting our nation’s warriors to biblical counselors who can offer lasting hope and change through counsel from God’s Word. Don highlights their recent surge in requests for counsel, largely due to their new partnership with the Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs. He also shares how veteran owned and operated Biblicare has joined forces with Fallen Soldiers March to help them track the care that is being provided.

Dr. Jim Newheiser is the Director of the Christian Counseling Program and Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. He served in pastoral ministry for over thirty years in Southern California and Saudi Arabia. He has served as the director of the Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (IBCD) since 2006 and is a Fellow and a board member of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). Dr. Newheiser is a member of the BCC Council and joins us today to discuss his latest book, Money, Debt, and Finances: Critical Questions and Answers.

Kïrsten Christianson is a biblical counselor who counsels through her practice, Side-by-Side Biblical Counseling. It is her joy to help people draw near to God in the midst of growth, suffering, and the challenges of daily life. A co-founder of her church’s domestic abuse ministry, she serves as the Crisis Care Coordinator for one of the campuses and helps her church navigate domestic abuse issues using a team approach. Kïrsten lives in Minnesota with her husband and son. She joins us for this episode of 15:14 to discuss how churches can think about and navigate the difficulty of ministering to people dealing with domestic abuse.
