Lainey Greer is certified in personal training and nutrition consulting. She is a Ph.D. student at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and her research centers on a theology of embodiment. Don Roy (Rebroadcast)

Don Roy is a retired Navy Captain and biblical counselor who helps coordinate the ministry of Fallen Soldiers March. He joins us today to discuss their focus on connecting our nation’s warriors to biblical counselors who can offer lasting hope and change through counsel from God’s Word. Don highlights their recent surge in requests for counsel, largely due to their new partnership with the Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs. He also shares how veteran owned and operated Biblicare has joined forces with Fallen Soldiers March to help them track the care that is being provided.

Dr. Jim Newheiser

Dr. Jim Newheiser is the Director of the Christian Counseling Program and Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. He served in pastoral ministry for over thirty years in Southern California and Saudi Arabia. He has served as the director of the Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (IBCD) since 2006 and is a Fellow and a board member of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). Dr. Newheiser is a member of the BCC Council and joins us today to discuss his latest book, Money, Debt, and Finances: Critical Questions and Answers.

Dr. Matt Mitchell

Dr. Matt Mitchell has served as the pastor of Lanse Evangelical Free Church since 1998. A graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Matt received his doctorate in biblical counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary in 2012. He is a frequent contributor to the Journal of Biblical Counseling, Lifeway Pastors, and EFCA Today. Matt is the author of Resisting Gossip: Winning the War of the Wagging Tongue and Resisting Gossip Together: Participant’s Guide and Bible Study. He joins us today on 15:14 to discuss his book and the topic of gossip, especially as it relates to biblical counseling.

Kïrsten Christianson

Kïrsten Christianson is a biblical counselor who counsels through her practice, Side-by-Side Biblical Counseling. It is her joy to help people draw near to God in the midst of growth, suffering, and the challenges of daily life. A co-founder of her church’s domestic abuse ministry, she serves as the Crisis Care Coordinator for one of the campuses and helps her church navigate domestic abuse issues using a team approach. Kïrsten lives in Minnesota with her husband and son. She joins us for this episode of 15:14 to discuss how churches can think about and navigate the difficulty of ministering to people dealing with domestic abuse.

Lauren Whitman

Lauren Whitman joins the 15:14 podcast today to discuss her new book, A Painful Past: Healing and Moving Forward, one of the 31 Day Devotionals for Life from P&R Publishing. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. Lauren serves as a Staff Counselor at Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF). In addition to serving as a counselor, Lauren also works as the developmental editor for the Journal of Biblical Counseling and has authored numerous JBC articles.

Adrian Martinez

Adrian Martinez has served in pastoral ministry since 1998 and has been active in biblical counseling since 2003. Adrian has a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling, a Doctor of Ministry (ABD) from The Master's University, and is a certified counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. He is also the Oceania Coordinator for Overseas Instruction in Counseling. Adrian and his wife Jen have five children. Adrian is a member of the Biblical Counseling Coalition Council, and he joins us on the 15:14 podcast to share about his role with Biblical Counseling Australia (BCA). He is currently working for BCA to run Local Church Training and deliver Soul Care Certificate courses.

Hayley Satrom

Hayley Satrom lives in the Washington, DC area with her husband Rob and three beloved children. They are members of Capitol Hill Baptist Church, where Hayley serves on staff part-time as a biblical counselor. She also co-directs a private practice for biblical counseling called Heart Song Counseling. Hayley received a BA in Psychology from the University of Southern California and an MA in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has a great affinity for the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF), where she has also taken several biblical counseling courses. Hayley is the author of Forgiveness: Reflecting God’s Mercy, one of the 31-Day Devotionals for Life from P&R Publishing.
